My Wednesday Wish for You: Remember What You’re Made Of
In times of uncertainty, our natural instincts often kick in: fight, flight, or freeze. The unknown can feel overwhelming, and it’s easy to doubt ourselves when the path forward isn’t clear. But today, I want to encourage you to take a different approach—one rooted not in fear, but in strength.
Take a moment to look back at your story. You’ve weathered storms before. You’ve navigated ambiguity, made tough decisions, and found your footing in uncertain times. Those past experiences are not just memories; they are proof of what you are made of. They have filled your toolbox with resilience, creativity, grit, and wisdom.
This process—called appreciative inquiry—invites us to be curious about the skills, strengths, and insights we already possess. Instead of focusing on what we lack, we focus on what we have. We appreciate the experiences that have shaped us, and we apply that appreciation to the challenges in front of us today.
You’ve been here before, in different ways. And you found a way through.
You will again.
Trust your history. Trust your instincts. Trust your ability to learn, adapt, and move forward. The uncertainties of today are just another chapter in a story that proves you are more capable than you sometimes remember.
You have everything you need inside of you. Appreciate it. Believe it. And keep going.
