Where are you focusing?
My Wednesday Wish for You: Focus Where It Matters
Lately, I’ve seen a lot of folks overwhelmed, spinning their wheels about things far beyond their control. Whether it’s market shifts, political headlines, or another person’s decisions; these stressors steal time, energy, and peace.
Here’s the truth: there is plenty you can control. You can control your preparation, your response, your mindset. You can control your calendar, your communication, your consistency. You can even control how you show up when things don’t go as planned.
And there’s so much you can influence. The relationships you nurture today may become your lifeline tomorrow. The grace you extend may circle back to you when you most need it. The trust you build with your employees, vendors, and clients doesn’t just make business better, it builds resilience.
In leadership and in life, influence and control are capacity-building muscles. The more we practice, the more ready we are for the unexpected. When we invest energy in what we can shape, we gain traction, and allies.
So today, take stock. What’s actually in your hands? What can you do, build, say, prepare, or support?
Then go do that.
Because when the winds change, you’ll be standing stronger—with a team around you, a plan in place, and the clarity that comes from focusing where it matters most.
That’s my Wednesday wish for you.
