The strength to be vulnerable.

My Wednesday Wish for You: The Strength to Be Vulnerable

Vulnerability often gets a bad reputation. We equate it with weakness, with exposing ourselves to judgment or failure. But what if vulnerability is actually a superpower?

When we allow ourselves to be open—admitting we don’t have all the answers, asking for help, or sharing an honest struggle—we are not diminishing ourselves. We are showing up as real, authentic humans. And authenticity is magnetic. It fosters trust, deepens connections, and, surprisingly, reduces stress. After all, it takes a lot of energy to maintain a façade.

The most secure people are the ones who can say, “I don’t know” or “I made a mistake” without feeling like their worth is on the line. They understand that true confidence doesn’t come from appearing perfect but from being real. On the other hand, insecurity and imposter syndrome push us to hide behind a carefully curated image—one that most people can see through anyway.

When we embrace vulnerability, we give others permission to do the same. We create space for honesty, growth, and meaningful relationships. And we demonstrate a different kind of strength—the strength to be seen as we truly are.

So, where can you flex your vulnerability muscle this week? Maybe it’s admitting a challenge to your team, asking for support, or simply letting go of the need to have it all together. You might be surprised by how freeing—and powerful—it feels.
