Are you investing the time and resources to grow personally and professionally?

Take the chance to unplug. You might find you really are better because of it.
My Wednesday Wish for You: Get Off the Grid
When you vacation, do you really vacation?
I’m not talking about taking your laptop to the beach or checking emails from the cabin. I mean off the grid. Phone down. Laptop shut. Notifications silenced. Present with the people you love—or even just with yourself. Present with the scenery, the stillness, the sky.
For many of us, that’s harder than it sounds. We fear inertia: A body at rest stays at rest. What if I stop and can’t get started again? What if the work piles up? What if I’m needed?
But here’s the thing: What if you can’t keep going precisely because you didn’t stop?
The body, the mind, the spirit—they all need rest. Real rest. Not just a change of scenery while still sprinting mentally. Rest recalibrates. It restores. It helps you return not just recharged, but clearer, calmer, and maybe even a little wiser.
In this season of upcoming vacations and holidays, I hope you’ll have that internal conversation. Ask yourself: What does it really look like for me to step off the fast track? What might I gain by unplugging?
Yes, the world will keep spinning without you for a few days. That’s the beauty of it.
My wish for you this week is simple: Give yourself permission to truly take it easy. Step off. Unplug. Get off the grid. Not forever—just long enough to remember what it’s like to be, not just do.
