How could you upgrade your time this week?

My Wednesday Wish for You: To Know When to Quit

We all have big goals, dreams that excite us, projects that stretch us, habits that shape us. But sometimes, the real growth comes not from adding more, but from quitting.

Quitting gets a bad reputation, but sometimes it’s the most courageous thing we can do. When we look honestly at where our time goes, it tells us what we truly value—not what we say we value. If I claim I want to write a book but spend hours scrolling on social media, my actions don’t align with my intentions. The truth is, I may need to quit (or at least limit) one to make space for the other.

Rest, of course, is not quitting; it’s essential. Downtime renews us. But there’s a difference between rest that restores and distractions that drain. When we make intentional choices about how we spend our time, we upgrade our days and move closer to the life we say we want.

My wish for you this Wednesday is the wisdom to know what’s not serving you, and the courage to quit it. What could you let go of today to make room for something better tomorrow?
