Grace to slow down
My Wednesday Wish for you
I wish you the grace to slow down.
When we go on a trip, we often focus on the destination, how long it will take, what we’ll do when we get there, what’s next on the itinerary. But isn’t it often the journey that lingers with us? The conversations along the way, the unexpected detours, the quiet moments when we actually notice the beauty around us.
Life is much the same. When we power through our to-do lists, the goal becomes checking boxes instead of experiencing the “why” behind them. Every task, every meeting, every conversation has purpose, if we pause long enough to notice it. The work itself is important, but so are the relationships we build and the lessons we learn along the way.
If we rush through it all, we miss the richness of what’s right in front of us, the human connection, the sense of meaning, the growth that only comes through presence.
So take a breath. Look up. Remember that your journey is happening right now, not someday when everything is done.
My Wednesday Wish for you is that you slow your pace just enough to find joy in the moments between the milestones—and remember that the meaning is often in the middle.
